I’ve always been drawn to natural history museums, particularly to old spaces packed with specimen drawers and taxidermy cases. I find myself immersed in the contradictory stories of early explorers whose fascination with nature led them to kill and collect hundreds of thousands of specimens across the globe. The contrast between the inherent beauty of these specimens and the disregard for the living world they represent is at once mystifying and horrifying.
